Benzene is a colorless or light-yellow liquid chemical at room temperature. It is used primarily as a grease-free solvent to degrease surfaces.

Please note: benzene can affect some types of surfaces, such as certain plastics, oiled or lacquered wood, and natural stone. You can also use benzene as fuel in petrol burners. It is also sold under the name 'boiling point petrol 100/140'.

In addition, benzene is used as a diluent for paint spraying installations. Do not use 'eco-cleaning spirit' for this. Eco-gasoline has a different composition that is not suitable for use in paint spraying installations. For diluting alkyd paint (paint based on white spirit) do not use benzene, but white spirit.
